BAM stands for a mixture of Butorphanol (a Class 4 controlled drug), Azaperone and Medetomidine.  This combination provides a completely reversible anesthesia characterized by excellent muscle relaxation, analgesia, relaxed respiration and no hyperthermia in mule deer and white tail deer.   Trials in other wild and exotic hoof stock are currently in progress.  In trial uses, reversal times have been consistently less than 10 minutes with the use of intramuscular Tolazoline, Atipamezole and Naltrexone.  By reducing the overall time required during the immobilization procedure, BAM brings a safe, efficient and effective solution to minimize your real costs and maximize your profits.   Available by prescription only from a licensed veterinarian.
